        As for the optical fiber thermometer for the tank requires no cable lying at the site except for an optical fiber, so problems such as anti-electromagnetic interference, lightning stroke and security are solved.

  See figure below for average tank temperature measuring principle. Average tank temperature and temperature of each layer are to be measured and transmitted by optical fiber, so it is of high accuracy and speed.

  After light source injected into the optical fiber, FBG sensor in the liquid tank will send optical signal that carries information to be measured to the modem module of the system:
  After optical signal subject to photoelectric conversion and signal conditioning through modem module, modem module sends the conditioned data to the computer before displaying the results by analysis and computation;
  If detected tank temperature above set temperature, the computer will start fire pump control system and fire spray pipe will spray water to prevent accidents for high temperature.
  1. Light source injected into the optical fiber to produce reflected Bragg signal;
  2. FBG sensor sends information to be measured to modem module;
  3. Optical signal subject to photoelectric conversion and signal conditioning through modem;
  4. Monitor the temperature point by point and support configuration alarm switching value output point to point;
  5. Optical signal in the modem can output 4-20mA standard signal directly for conventional display.
  6. Optical signal modem has standard Modbus communication function and can communicate with DCS system directly.
  7. Optical signal modem, supporting standard Ethernet interface, can communicate with upper computer and support OPC environment and general man-machine picture software HMI programming.
  8. Optical signal modem has LCD display function to implement the configuration of field devices through standard keyboard;

  Major system performance and characteristics:
  1. Distributed measurement in large area and the sensor arrangement as required by the client with all fiber construction, security and reliability, strong anti-electromagnetic interference, anti-explosion and no demountable part in the tank yard.
  2. No cable lying required at the site and safe monitoring system, effectively protecting from lightning stroke.
  3. Optical signal modem with signal acquisition capacity of four- to sixteen-way optical fiber
  4. Min. gap of optical grating measuring is 1 mm

  8. Easy installation at the site and only a 3-inch flange required at the tank roof to put the optical fiber in the tank with no complicated fitting.
